Polymarket to Add Sports Streaming Through Genius Sports Partnership

Polymarket, a prediction markets platform, has entered into a partnership agreement with sports data provider Genius Sports. The agreement was announced by Genius Sports’ press office.

The partnership applies exclusively to Polymarket US, the company’s regulated U.S. platform.

Under the agreement, Polymarket will add live streaming of selected sporting events. Users will be able to watch matches while simultaneously buying or selling related event contracts.

The deal includes streaming of Italian Serie A matches, while the full list of available leagues and competitions has not yet been disclosed.

Genius Sports will also provide Polymarket with official match results and other sports data. The platform will use this information to determine market outcomes and settle contracts. This is expected to reduce the risk of disputes caused by statistical errors or the use of unofficial information.

In addition, Polymarket will gain access to an integrity monitoring system. Genius Sports and sports organisations will be able to track unusual trading activity and sharp market movements. This will help identify potential manipulation and cases involving the use of insider information more quickly.

Polymarket will also receive the right to use official names, logos and other content from selected sports leagues.

Genius Sports will provide additional support to help the platform expand its presence in the U.S. market.
