Employees at the Georgian branch of Swedish gaming giant Evolution, developer of online casino solutions, are gearing up for a potential mass strike, demanding improved working conditions and higher wages.

According to Realtid, growing discontent among the workforce has reached a boiling point, with around 5,000 employees planning to collectively stop work on July 12th.

The workers cite a range of grievances, including unsafe and unsanitary working conditions, harassment from company management, and meager salaries. The union has spent months attempting to negotiate with the employer for better conditions and higher pay, but these discussions have yielded no results.

Frustration among Evolution’s Georgian employees escalated after screenshots from internal company chats were released, revealing sexist, racist, and discriminatory remarks directed at employees by management.

Furthermore, a recently released video showcased the appalling lunch conditions experienced by the cleaning staff at Evolution Georgia. Shockingly, technical staff were even forced to eat their meals in a restroom.

In response to the leaked chat messages, the company’s management issued a statement denouncing the inappropriate content and promising a thorough investigation. However, Giorgi Diasamidze, the chair of the LABOR union, reported encountering a similar disrespectful attitude during negotiations with Evolution, aligning with the tone exemplified in the leaked internal communications.
