Drake Loses $ 500K on Adesanya’s Knockout Defeat in UFC

Drake, the rapper and ambassador for the crypto bookmaker Stake.com, showed off his betting skills on social media. He placed a huge bet on a UFC fight, but it didn’t go his way.

Drake was interested in the fight between Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland. He backed Adesanya to win by knockout and wagered $500,000 in crypto. The odds were 1.84, which meant he could have won $420,000 if he was right.

But Drake’s luck ran out. Strickland dominated the fight and won by unanimous decision. Adesanya even got knocked down in the second round, but he was saved by the bell.

This is not the first time that Drake has lost money on Adesanya, who is his friend. In October 2022, he bet $2.1 million on Adesanya to beat Alex Pereira, but Pereira won that fight by an early knockout.

However, Drake also had some wins with Adesanya. In their rematch, Adesanya won and earned Drake $2.7 million.
