Chile Bans 1xBet, Betway, Bet365 and Other Illegal Betting Sites

The Supreme Court of Chile has sided with a local gambling company, Polla Chilena, and ordered the blocking of all betting sites operating in the country, as reported by Tarreo.com.

The court’s decision means that popular bookmakers like Betsson, Marathonbet, 1xBet, Bet365, Bwin, Betway, and others have to stop their operations in Chile. None of these companies had the necessary gambling licenses. The list of blocked websites includes over 20 betting sites.

The ruling also states that Polla Chilena is the only authorized gambling company in the country that can take online bets.

Polla Chilena has been fighting for years to get rid of unlicensed competitors who have been offering bookmaking services in Chile without any restrictions. There have been several court cases, and now the Supreme Court of Chile has put an end to this issue.

But that’s not the only problem for international bookmakers in Chile. The Chilean government recently told the local football association and clubs to cut ties with unlicensed bookmakers in the country. This affects the close partnership between the association and the gambling company Betsson.
