FIFA has introduced a paid service for the 2026 World Cup that will allow fans to have their name shown on a stadium big screen before a match. The servicr costs $79 excluding tax, The Athletic reported.
The service is called Super Shoutout.
It allows supporters to select a match, choose the country they support and submit a request for their name to appear on the stadium screen.
The service is available for 72 group-stage matches. Fans can include up to four messages in one order, at a total cost of $316 excluding tax.
Under the terms of the service, names will be shown before kick-off rather than during the match. Requests must be submitted at least 72 hours before the game.
FIFA does not guarantee the exact time of display, how long the message will appear, where it will be placed on the screen or whether it will be shown in the television broadcast. All submissions will be reviewed.
FIFA also prohibits the use of the service for advertising, political statements, offensive or discriminatory content, or references to players, teams, referees or match results.
The organisation may reject a request or amend its wording.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico. It will be the largest tournament in the competition’s history, featuring 48 teams and 104 matches. The paid name-display service gives FIFA another way to generate revenue ahead of the expanded tournament.
