International gambling company Stake has launched a poker room in Mexico, Poker Industry Pro reports. It is the first time the company has rolled out its poker product in a market under a local licence.
Stake informed partners about the launch of Stake Poker in Mexico earlier this week. However, this is not a full market entry from scratch.
The company began operating in Mexico on May 4, 2026, when it launched its online casino and sportsbook in the country. Online poker has now been added to those offerings.
The poker platform is connected to the international Stake Poker network, which operates under a Curaçao licence and is available in more than 100 countries. Users can play poker against each other at cash-game tables or take part in tournaments. The platform offers several variants, including Texas hold’em and Omaha, as well as fast-fold formats where hands are played more quickly than usual.
Mexico is Stake’s fourth regulated market in Latin America. The company also operates under national licences in Brazil, Colombia and Peru. Outside Latin America, Stake is also licensed in Denmark and Curaçao.
