Crystal Palace Strikes Record-Breaking Sponsorship Deal with Asian Bookmaker

Crystal Palace, Premier League football club, has announced a record-breaking sponsorship deal with Asian bookmaker NET88, making the company the team’s new title sponsor for the next two seasons (2024/2025 and 2025/2026).
The deal, which will see NET88’s logo prominently displayed on the front of Crystal Palace’s matchday jerseys and training kits, is reportedly the most lucrative sponsorship agreement in the club’s history.
While Crystal Palace officially introduced NET88 as a provider of online gaming services, local media outlets have rightly pointed out that the brand primarily operates as a sports betting and online casino platform. Although the club chose to downplay this detail, discerning fans have taken note.
Fans have expressed dissatisfaction with the partnership, citing a lack of information about NET88, raising concerns about the company’s legitimacy. They have also pointed out that NET88’s social media presence is minimal, with its account on X (formerly Twitter) having fewer than 50 followers. Furthermore, many fans are unhappy with the club’s decision to promote gambling.
It’s worth noting that starting from the 2026/2027 season, Premier League clubs will be prohibited from displaying bookmaker and casino logos on the front of their jerseys. This means that Crystal Palace fans will only have to endure this sponsorship for two seasons.
