grammy-2025

The 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards will take place on February 2, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. ET (February 3, at 1:00 a.m. GMT+1 for Europe) at the iconic Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Known as the biggest night in music, the GRAMMYs will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+, with on-demand access also available for global audiences. This year’s ceremony will honor the best works released between September 16, 2023, and August 30, 2024, ensuring the eligibility window captures music trends over nearly a full year.

With 94 categories, from iconic awards like Album of the Year to more niche honors like Best Americana Album and Best Global Music Performance, there’s plenty for bettors to follow, but all eyes will be on the Big Four awards — the night’s crown jewels:

  • Album of the Year: Recognizing the artist(s), songwriters, and production team behind a full album.
  • Record of the Year: Celebrating the performer and production team of a standout single.
  • Song of the Year: Honoring the songwriter(s) of an exceptional track.
  • Best New Artist: Awarded to an emerging artist making their 1st significant impact on the industry.

Album of the Year Favorites

Album of the Year Grammy predictions – Favorites: Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé.

Seven-time GRAMMY winner Billie Eilish is looking to add her second win with “Hit Me Hard and Soft” in this category after her “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” triumph in 2020. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 upon release.

No artist has won Album of the Year more times than Swift (four-time winner). Swift remains the only artist to secure the award for albums from three different decades (Fearless in 2010, 1989 in 2016, and Folklore in 2021). However, “The Tortured Poets Department” has slightly muted international reception.

Beyoncé is nominated for Cowboy Carter. Despite holding the record for the most GRAMMY wins ever (32), Beyoncé has never clinched Album of the Year. Historical precedent is working against her: the last R&B album to win this category was Herbie Hancock’s River: The Joni Letters in 2008.

Song of the Year Favorites

With a near 70% probability, “Birds of a Feather” is a favorite in this category. However, this year’s race features significant competition, particularly from Chappell Roan and Kendrick Lamar, both sitting at odds of 4.5. Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe” is Eilish’s biggest competition in this field.

Although the Song of the Year category has traditionally eluded hip-hop artists, Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is still a viable option.

Meanwhile, “Die with a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars still holds #2 on the Billboard Global 200, even though it’s seen as an underdog by most bookies.

Best New Artist Favorites

Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Carpenter

If you’re looking for a place to land a big upset, this is the likely category. Sabrina Carpenter, riding high on the success of her breakout year, stands as the favorite with 66.7% implied odds. Though “Short n’ Sweet” is technically her 6th album, it has firmly positioned her as a fresh face in the GRAMMY world.

Chappell Roan gained traction earlier this year with “Pink Pony Club”. However, her fading presence in key year-end lists may indicate that voters could shift their attention toward Carpenter’s late-breaking success.

Meanwhile, Shaboozey is an intriguing underdog with a 14.3% probability. However, his omission from major wins at the CMA Awards puts his victory in doubt.
