Squid Game Slot Wins Top Honors at Global Gaming Awards EMEA 2025

One of the most anticipated categories at the Global Gaming Awards EMEA 2025, announced yesterday at ICE Barcelona 2025, was Best Online Slot. This year’s awards recognized not just one but three standout games, ranking them first, second, and third.

Taking the top spot was Squid Game: One Lucky Day by U.S.-based developer Light & Wonder. As the name suggests, the game is inspired by the hit South Korean series Squid Game.

Released on March 27, 2024, the slot comes in five different RTP (Return to Player) versions, ranging from 87% to 96%. The gameplay features a five-reel, 40-payline format, with three types of special bonus rounds and a classic free spins bonus.

Second place went to Piggy Prize Wish of Riches, launched on June 25, 2024, by Austria-based developer Greentube.

Blending a quirky mix of genie magic and cartoonish piggy-bank imagery, the game runs on a five-reel, 40-payline setup, with six bonus features. Its RTP varies between 94.55% and 95.13%.

Taking third place was Ancient Tumble by Malta-based Relax Gaming. This slot, themed around the search for ancient Aztec treasures, offers a 96.10% RTP, six reels, and over 46,000 ways to win.
