Two streamers on Kick, a new streaming platform, have spilled the beans about their gambling deals. They say they get paid to play online casino games on their streams, as part of their contracts.
One of them is xQc, a famous Canadian streamer who used to be on Twitch. He has admitted that he has a gambling problem, but he still gambles on Kick. Twitch has been cracking down on gambling streams lately, so he switched platforms.
The other one is Nickmercs, another former Twitch streamer. He also said that he gets sponsored to gamble on Kick.
Nickmercs said, «The first question I’ve been seeing is like, ‘Nick, are you gonna do gambling streams?’ We’re gonna do some gambling for sure. It’s part of the contract, y’know».
Kick reps denied that they pay streamers to gamble, but insiders say that the streamers have two contracts: one with Kick and one with Stake.com, an online gambling site. So, the bookie pays the streamers for their gambling streams. By the way, Stake.com is owned by Ed Craven, who is also one of the owners of Kick.
