Fire at SiGMA Africa 2026 Damages Booths of Melbet, Choice Gaming and Other Exhibitors

A fire broke out at the SiGMA Africa 2026 gambling industry exhibition in Cape Town, causing significant damage to several exhibition booths, according to the Telegram channel Rite.BET.
The fire reportedly started during the night of March 4–5 at the stand of Choice Gaming.
Photos from the venue indicate that the booth’s structure was almost completely destroyed. Parts of the decorative installations and equipment were burned, leaving charred debris and traces of firefighting efforts on the floor.


The fire is also reported to have affected neighboring exhibits. Booths belonging to Creedroomz, 22Bet, and Melbet, located near the source of the blaze, sustained damage.
Preliminary information suggests that the Choice Gaming stand suffered the most extensive losses.
The official cause of the fire has not yet been announced. Details of the incident are still being clarified, while organizers and the venue’s technical services are conducting an investigation. No injuries have been reported.
