Brazil accounted for nearly one-third of global betting app downloads in the second half of 2025, according to iGaming Brazil, citing data from U.S.-based analytics platform Sensor Tower.
During the period, global betting app installs totalled 115.4 million. Brazil represented 34.3 million downloads across Google Play and the App Store, equal to 29.7% of the global total.
For 2025 as a whole, six of the ten most-downloaded sports apps in Brazil were related to real-money betting and gambling. Betano recorded the highest number of installs among betting apps in the country.
Globally, Sensor Tower reported 189.4 million installs of betting and casino apps in 2025, marking a 34% year-on-year increase.
The report noted that the Sports Betting and Casino subcategory was one of the main drivers of growth in sports mobile app downloads in 2025. Expansion was described as global in scope and linked to regulatory changes that have supported user growth in new markets, including Brazil.
Gambling Park notes that regulated betting operations officially launched in Brazil in 2025. More than 80 bookmakers are currently authorised to operate in the country.
