Swiss sports technology company Sportradar has signed a multi-year partnership with Kalshi, which the release describes as the world’s largest prediction market, according to a Sportradar press release published on GlobeNewswire.
Under the agreement, Sportradar will provide Kalshi with official sports data, real-time data and services to help price and settle sports markets.
The partnership covers data from major sports leagues and competitions, including MLB, the NHL, MLS, UFC and other events.
Kalshi will use the data to settle sports markets more quickly and accurately, including by confirming match results, updating information during events and settling contracts once an event has concluded.
The partnership is also significant beyond Kalshi itself. Sportradar will be able to work with the platform’s partners and other market participants.
In effect, Sportradar, which has long supplied data to bookmakers and sports organisations, is now moving into the prediction markets segment.
A separate part of the agreement relates to integrity and risk monitoring. Sportradar will help Kalshi identify unusual activity around sports events, such as a sharp increase in interest in a particular outcome, suspicious market movements before official news is released, or other signals that may require further review. Such activity does not automatically prove wrongdoing, but it can give the platform grounds for additional checks.
The partnership therefore brings together several areas: official sports data, faster market settlement, services for Kalshi’s partners and market participants, and monitoring for suspicious activity. For Sportradar, it represents an expansion beyond the traditional betting market, while for Kalshi it is a way to make its sports markets more accurate and better protected.
