Drake is no stranger to sports betting on Stake.com, but his latest gamble didn’t pay off. The rapper bet a whopping $700,000 on Sean Strickland to win the UFC middleweight title fight against Dricus Du Plessis.

Just days before, Drake posted a screenshot of his bet on his social media, showing that he hoped to win $679,000 with the bet of $700,000 if Strickland won (with 1.97 odds).

But Drake’s luck ran out this time. The title fight went the distance after three rounds of action, and Du Plessis emerged victorious.

The fight was a nail-biter, as the judges’ scorecards showed: two judges gave the fight to Du Plessis, while the third favored Strickland.

Now, Du Plessis may face former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya next. Both Adesanya and Drake are ambassadors for Stake.com. It’s clear who Drake will back with his next big bet.

This is not the first time Drake has lost a fortune on Stake.com. We previously reported on his $850,000 loss, when he bet on blogger Logan Paul to knock out Dillon Danis.
