Lauri Kangas, Lateksituppi

Finnish blogger Lauri Kangas, aka ‘Lateksituppi’, has been sentenced to 50 days in jail and a €51,300 fine (about $55,140) for promoting illegal gambling on Twitch, Gambling News reports.

The Finnish court ruled that the streamer violated the country’s gambling laws by advertising unlicensed gambling sites on the popular streaming platform. Note that Finland has a strict rule: only Veikkaus, one operator, can legally offer gambling.

The court found that the streamer targeted Finnish viewers by using their language and offering them bonuses to sign up for the illegal sites. These were clear evidence of his guilt.

But Kangas didn’t seem to care about the consequences.

He showed up at the court in a golden SUV and parked in police spots. He also acted cocky and defiant, showing no remorse for his actions.

Previously, Gambling Park reported that Twitch lifted its gambling ad ban after streamers revolted.
