SBC Summit Packs Its Bags: Global Gambling Event Moves to Lisbon in 2024

SBC Summit, one of the world’s largest gambling conferences & trade shows, is moving from Barcelona to Lisbon in 2024. The event organizers announced the change of location on their official website.

The forum will also drop the city’s name from its title to reflect its global status.

SBC Summit has been held in Barcelona since 2020. But the event has outgrown its old home and needs more space to accommodate its growing audience.

Feira Internacional de Lisboa in Lisbon was chosen as the new host city for the summit because of its impressive features: a 100,000 square meter space (compared to Barcelona’s 38,000 m²), a capacity for 600 participants (double the previous capacity), and excellent transportation infrastructure (the airport, just 4 km away, serves guests from 136 airports worldwide, including non-stop flights from America). In total, 25,000 people will be able to attend the exhibition next year.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said: “The decision for a new home for our flagship event was driven by its remarkable growth, which had clearly outpaced the capacity of Fira Barcelona Montjuïc, as well as praise and support from clients and industry stakeholders. When we say it’s the fastest ever-growing event in the industry, we mean it, and that’s why finding the right venue and city was absolutely essential”.

SBC Summit 2024 will take place on September 24-26.
