Prediction markets platform Polymarket has signed a multi-year regional agreement with La Liga, becoming the league’s official and exclusive partner in the United States and Canada, PR Newswire reported.
The deal does not cover match operations but focuses on commercial and media cooperation. Polymarket will gain rights to use La Liga’s intellectual property and that of its clubs, as well as integration into broadcasts and digital products.
Under the agreement, Polymarket will offer prediction markets linked to La Liga matches and events and take part in fan engagement initiatives, ranging from digital campaigns to VIP events and meetings with football legends.
The agreement was signed through LaLiga North America, a joint venture between La Liga and Relevent Sports Group that has managed the league’s commercial rights in North America since 2018.
Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan said the company aims to give fans the ability to “express opinions on matches, players, and outcomes in real time.”
Gambling Park notes that this marks Polymarket’s first partnership with a European football league. The company has previously signed agreements with several sports organisations, including Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, Ultimate Fighting Championship, and Major League Soccer.
