An original Pablo Picasso artwork will be raffled at Christie’s in Paris on 14 April 2026, Bild reports. Anyone can take part by purchasing a ticket for €100.
The work selected for the draw is “Tête de Femme” (Head of a Woman), a gouache painting created in 1941. It depicts Dora Maar — the French photographer and artist whom Picasso met in 1936 and who became his muse for several years. The piece measures 38.9 × 25.4 cm and is valued at more than €1 million.
The raffle is being organized with the support of Picasso’s family and foundation, and all proceeds will go to a charity dedicated to Alzheimer’s research.
A total of 120,000 tickets are available on the website 1picasso100euros.com.
The project is led by French TV presenter Peri Cochin. Similar charity raffles were held in 2013 and 2020, when Picasso works were also awarded; the winners were a woman from Pennsylvania (USA) and an accountant from Ventimiglia, Italy.
The draw for Tête de Femme will be streamed live online.
