Formula 1 has announced a multi-year partnership with bookmaker Betway, a brand owned by Super Group. The agreement will take effect from the 2026 season.
Under the terms of the deal, Betway will become the first official betting partner in Formula 1’s history.
The partnership will cover markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as Canada and Mexico.
As part of the agreement, the parties will use data and analytics from ALT Sports Data, Formula 1’s official betting data supplier. The information will be used to support the creation of betting markets and provide real-time analytics during races.
Through the partnership, Betway users will be able to place live bets on various race events, such as the deployment of the safety car, pit stop timings and on-track battles between drivers.
Jonny Haworth, Director of Commercial Partnerships at Formula 1, said betting had become one of the ways audiences engage with live broadcasts.
“Betting has become a natural extension of how many modern fans interact with live sport. Our partnership with Betway will help adult fans better understand what is happening during the race,” he said.
Super Group CEO Neal Menashe said the company was pleased to sign the agreement with Formula 1.
Gambling Park notes that the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 8 will mark the opening race of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
