BetDEX Exchange, a cryptocurrency betting platform, has scored an Irish betting license, as reported by Casino.org.
BetDEX Exchange is a unique platform that uses blockchain technology to create a decentralized betting exchange. This means that players have full control over their funds, without having to rely on a central authority.
The platform is based in the UK, and was founded by Nigel Eccles, Varun Sudhakar, and Stuart Tonner. All three of them have experience working for the American bookmaker DraftKings.
The BetDEX betting license in Ireland took effect on July 1st this year. The company will now have to follow the rules of the local gambling market. This includes promoting responsible gambling, such as verifying the age of customers, offering self-exclusion options, and setting deposit limits.
