CGA notice stating that its online licensing portal is offline
The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has temporarily taken offline the online portal used by operators to submit licence applications and interact with the regulator. A notice announcing the outage has been published on the CGA’s main website, cga.cw, which remains operational.
The affected platform is portal.cga.cw. Operators use it to apply for licences, submit documents and regulatory reports, report incidents and notify the CGA of changes to their operations.
At present, visitors to portal.cga.cw are automatically redirected to the regulator’s main website at cga.cw.
The CGA has not provided further details about the outage. It has not said whether the portal’s unavailability is directly related to the security incident reported in September or when portal.cga.cw is expected to return online.
The outage follows a security incident disclosed by the regulator on 17 September, when the CGA reported unauthorised access to its online portal. After discovering the breach, the regulator and its system provider launched a technical investigation. At the time, the CGA said it was working to determine what information may have been viewed or copied.
It later emerged that German IT researcher Lilith Wittmann had gained access to material from the system and published some of the documents. The CGA is considering legal action and seeking to limit the further distribution of the data.

Amid the investigation, the regulator also withdrew from the SBC Summit in Lisbon, saying its staff and resources were needed to deal with the consequences of the incident.
