Swedish gambling conglomerate Betsson has announced to investors that the company has achieved its highest-ever quarterly revenue in the second quarter of 2023.

The holding’s revenues in the second quarter are expected to range from €235.5 million to €237.5 million.

These remarkable financial results can be attributed to increased customer activity in the casino and bookmaking sectors, leading to record-breaking operating profits. Betsson expects its EBIT (earnings before interest and tax) for the second quarter to be between €53.5 million and €55 million, driven by higher profitability per customer and a scalable business model.

It’s important to note preliminary trading data for the second quarter recorded the bookmaker margin of approximately 8.2%, matching the second quarter of 2022 and exceeding the flexible eight-quarter average of 7.8%.

The group’s revenue has seen growth across all regions compared to the same period last year, with the following geographic distribution: Scandinavia (22%), Latin America (22%), Western Europe (11%), Central and Eastern Europe, and Central Asia (43%), and the rest of the world (2%). Betsson will publish the complete and detailed report for the second quarter of 2023 on July 20th.
