Canada Launches First Online Slot Designed for Players with Disabilities

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has launched what it’s calling the first online slot in Canada created specifically for players with disabilities, according to Newswire Canada.

The game, titled Red Panda Tails of Wealth, was developed in partnership with iGaming providers Pixiu Gaming and Light & Wonder, alongside accessibility-focused digital agency Fable.

This initiative is designed to make online gaming more inclusive for players who are visually impaired, have mobility limitations, or live with other serious health conditions.

OLG says the release is aligned with its commitment to responsible gaming — something the organization claims offshore operators often overlook.

Red Panda Tails of Wealth includes a range of built-in accessibility features essential for many users with disabilities. These include:

• Compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation
• High-contrast color palettes to improve visibility for users with visual impairments

According to OLG, nearly one-third of Ontario’s 16 million residents live with some form of disability. While it remains unclear how many face direct barriers to accessing slots, the launch of Red Panda Tails of Wealth is expected to expand OLG’s player base and set a new industry benchmark for accessibility in online gaming.
