Hummel and Klingeler

The Guinness World Records book has two new entries related to gambling, thanks to the Dutch duo of Martin Hummel and Hielke Klingeler. As One Time reports, the pair set new records for the longest continuous working sessions as roulette and blackjack dealers.

Hummel spun the roulette wheel for an incredible 71 hours and 25 minutes, smashing the previous record of 48 hours set in 2005. Meanwhile, Klingeler shuffled the blackjack cards for a whopping 72 hours, beating the old record of 51 hours and 33 minutes (set in 2001).

The duo achieved these records back in August of last year, but it took time to check and confirm them for following all the rules. Finally, on January 18, the gambling feats of Hummel and Klingeler as dealers were officially recognized by the Guinness World Records.

Of course, they did not work without any breaks. They were allowed a 5-minute break every hour. Also, they were also supervised by two observers, who switched every 4 hours, to ensure they followed the rules. It was crucial that at least one roulette/blackjack player was at the table at all times; otherwise, the record would not count.
