Svenska Spel Makes Over €700 Million in Revenue in 2023

Svenska Spel, the largest state-owned gambling operator in Sweden, managed to bag €712 million in revenue in 2023. That’s a 1.5% dip from 2022.

While the online segment of the business saw a robust growth of 7.2%, the retail segment suffered a decline of 5%. Revenue from restaurants and bingo halls plunged by 12.7%, and casino revenue fell by 11.4%.

“We continue to be a successful business despite the challenges we face in the outside world. In 2024, we will continue to create sustainable gaming experiences that contribute to a better Sweden”, said Svenska Spel’s interim CEO, Erik Strand.

Svenska Spel holds a commanding market share of over 50% in Sweden’s gambling market.
