SportClan: Binance Uses Casino-Style Mechanics to Attract Traders With Spins and a Prize Wheel

Binance has begun using spins and a “prize wheel” to encourage trading on its platform, SportClan found while reviewing the terms of a new promotion launched by the crypto exchange.
The gambling-style nature of the promotion is also reflected in Binance’s own terminology. In promotional emails, users are offered free spins, while attempts on the promotion page are explicitly labeled “Spin(s).” They can be earned by completing trading tasks and then used to receive random rewards.
Binance also uses the term “prize wheel” in the promotion’s rules.
Visually, however, it does not resemble a traditional wheel or roulette: users see a nine-tile prize grid with a “Go” button, which they press to determine their reward.
To earn spins, users must trade bStocks — Binance instruments linked to shares of publicly traded companies. New users receive three spins for making their first trade of at least $30. Additional spins are awarded for reaching trading volumes of $500 and $3,000, as well as for referring new users.
Possible rewards include USDT and tickets for an additional prize draw. Users who receive such a ticket through the “prize wheel” enter another draw, with Binance explicitly stating that collecting more tickets increases their chances of winning. The final prizes include bStocks portfolios worth up to $4,500.
This is not the first time Binance has used such gamified mechanics. In July 2026, the company ran another bStocks promotion in which users earned attempts for completing trading tasks and then activated a mechanism that randomly selected a reward. In the current campaign, however, Binance explicitly uses the terms “Spin(s)” and “prize wheel.”
