$/€ Betsson Hits $ 1 Billion in Revenue with 22% Surge in 2023

Betsson, a Swedish gambling giant, has announced its financial results for 2023, showing a strong performance across the board.
The company reported a revenue of $1 billion for the year, up 22% from $832.7 million in 2022.
Its net profit also soared by 44%, reaching $185.4 million.
The fourth quarter of 2022 was especially impressive, as Betsson saw its casino revenue jump by 25.1% to $196,000, accounting for 72% of its total quarterly revenue.
The company also announced the launch of its online casino in Belgium last week. The casino is based on the betFIRST operator, which Betsson bought in 2023. This move shows Betsson’s strong focus on the casino sector.
The company is also eyeing the regulated markets of Peru and Brazil. The company’s CEO, Pontus Lindwall, said they plan to enter these markets this year, as soon as the online gaming licenses are issued.
Earlier, it was reported that Betsson had to pay €520,000 to a former problem gambler, as ordered by a Swedish court.
