The Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) has provisionally suspended American player Danny Baggish from competition amid an investigation into suspicious betting on his matches.
The inquiry was launched over bets placed on Baggish’s matches in the MODUS Super Series, including wagers on him not scoring 180 in a single visit — the maximum possible score in darts with three throws.
In the matches that drew the regulator’s attention, Baggish did not record a 180. The DRA is examining whether he may have deliberately played in a way that would have made those bets successful.
The suspension was imposed on May 2. While the investigation is ongoing, Baggish is barred from competing in DRA-regulated events or attending them. He has the right to appeal the decision.
MODUS Super Series representatives said they are cooperating with the DRA and would not comment on the details of the case while the investigation continues. The organisation said the integrity of its competitions remains one of its core principles.
Baggish has denied any wrongdoing. In a social media post, he said he had “nothing to hide,” but could not comment on the matter in detail at this stage.
Danny Baggish is an American darts player who previously competed on the PDC professional tour, one of the sport’s leading circuits. He has appeared at the PDC World Championship three times and represented the United States at the World Cup of Darts.
