According to the Australian Financial Review, gambling company Tabcorp has held preliminary talks with bookmaker Pointsbet about buying its Australian arm.

While a PointsBet representative did not refute the discussions with the major gambling company, they did not provide any specific details regarding the potential sale of their Australian business.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time that rumors about talks regarding the acquisition of Pointsbet’s Australian business have surfaced before. Earlier, the media reported that gambling holding Entain and bookmaker Betr had their sights set on the company.

Industry experts believe that the acquisition of Pointsbet’s Australian bookmaking arm will inevitably lead to potential buyers for the company’s American business.

However, the possible amount of the deal is yet to be mentioned.

Previously, it was reported that bookmaker Pointsbet opened its first office in Europe. The office is based in Dublin, Ireland, and employs around 70 developers, analysts, and product managers for the company.
